Review Policy

UPDATE 8/2019: I am no longer accepting books for review. I’ve got a large backlog of titles that I’d love to get through, plus I have gotten burned out on review requests, so I am not accepting books for review at this time.

As of July 2016 I am accepting books for review, however I am very selective in what I choose to accept for review. In short, this is a blog that I do for fun, and I’m not looking to read a bunch of books for other people. I read for me, and I love to share my reading with the world.

Most of the books I review on this blog are books I’ve purchased, books I’ve borrowed from friends or family, or books that I’ve gotten from the library.

On the rare occasion that I review a book that was given to me for the sole purpose of reviewing on my blog, I will indicate that clearly on the post.

My preferred genres are:

historical and/or cozy mysteries
historical fiction
contemporary and/or literary fiction
young adult
fantasy

I do not typically read:

erotica
romance
horror
self help
supernatural / paranormal
poetry
short story collections
children’s books / picture books

If you have a book that you would like me to review, please email me and include these items in the email:

book title, author name, and genre
picture of book cover
a description of the book
page count
your preferred deadline for review to be posted

My reviews are my own, honest opinion. There is no guarantee for a positive review.

I don’t want this blog to feel like a job, so I’m very particular in the books I choose to review by request. I’m very much a mood reader, and have a busy life outside of my blog.
