Another Wednesday, another post about this week’s new releases! I don’t have a whole lot this week, BUT, there’s a release this week that I’m anxious to read!

Let’s start off with the biggest release this week for those of us who read young adult fantasy. I’m so excited to read The Queen of Nothing, and I’m looking forward to see how this story is concluded. I’ve already gotten on the wait list at my library for this read (I’m 20th in line, so hopefully I’ll be reading it soon!)
The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black (The Folk of the Air #3)

There you go, a few releases this week that (to me) look like interesting reads! Will you be reading The Queen of Nothing right away? Do either of the other reads interest you?
I’m familiar with but have not read the Holly Black books. How many are there? Sometimes I swear one of her new books is one that I saw ages ago, but maybe the covers are all similar?

The one that just came out is the third book in the series. I think this particular series is a trilogy. She’s written other books, but I haven’t read those ones yet. I believe the covers are all very similar.

But have there been other books outside of this series that she or someone else wrote that has crowns falling into the water? I swear I’ve seen it at least four different ways already. I do know that covers and the fonts on covers go through trends.

I think there have been a lot of covers lately with crowns on the cover. I think because there’s this royalty trend going on right now. I keep thinking of the Four Dead Queens, which isn’t to be confused with the Three Dark Crowns series. Then there’s also A Clash of Kings – Book 2 in A Song of Ice and Fire or Game of Thrones as everyone calls it – and that cover usually has a crown on it too.
The cover for The Wicked King has a crown landing in water, and that is book two of the Holly Black series. That one is my favorite cover of the series.

SO MANY! The funny thing is after I read your comment I searched images on Google for book cover crown fantasy, and only one Holly Black book came up.
